Victoria_BWVictoria Meyers is a Design Principal for hanrahan Meyers architects (hMa). Meyers has earned distinction internationally for award-winning buildings and landscapes that conserve energy and water. As a founding partner of hanrahan Meyers architects (hMa), Meyers has been the principal designer on a number of award winning projects, including DWi-P (Digital Water i-Pavilion), Won Buddhist Retreat (AIA NYChapter Honor Award), Infinity Chapel (AIA NY State Honor Award), and Ash 4Ways (a residential project awarded the North American Wood Design Award, and an AIA NYChapter Honor Award). Meyers’ projects with hMa include public institutional buildings, urban master plans, and residences.

In 2009 Meyers was one of ten women architects featured in Buildblog’s list: ‘Women Making an Impact’, including Kazuyo Sejima, Monica Ponce de Leon, and Lise Anne Couture. Meyers’ firm, hanrahan Meyers architects (hMa), has been recognized for Design Excellence with a Eugene McDermott Award from MIT, whose past winners include architect Santiago Calatrava, and Los Angeles Philharmonic Conductor Gustavo Dudamel. In 2006, Meyers published Designing with Light, cataloging Meyers’ research into natural and artificial light. Meyers’ latest book, Shape of Sound, published by Artifice Books, London in Spring 2014, catalogs Meyers’ research into sound and its effects on buildings and landscapes. Meyers’ books present her research into energy and conservation as part of space design. Meyers’ most recent investigations include Sound Urbanism and Sound Ecology through research conducted within the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture Graduate program. Meyers’ graduate students’ work is published in Shape of Sound. In 2015, Meyers’ sound investigations will be published, with sound links, in a new e-book, in production with Abbeville Press, NYC. In 2012 – 2014 Meyers was the David Niland Chair at the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture.

Meyers has an M.Arch from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, and a Fellow of Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
