Avery Hall : Graduate School of Architecture,

Planning and Preservation

location: Columbia University
date: 1989
contact: hMa hanrahanMeyers architects

Renovations to the Main Reception floor in Avery Hall for the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.   Prior to this renovation the School of Architecture did not have a space which could serve as a general reception area.  It was our intention to design a new galleria area on the fourth floor which would serve as a public face for the school.  This space also serves as a gallery for traveling and in-house exhibitions of architectural projects.
